When tomato sauce ends up where it shouldn't, cleaning it off can be quite a pain. It's especially tricky when it comes to cleaning fabric surfaces like canvas. But don't worry, with a few simple ingredients and a little patience, you'll have your canvas as good as new in no time.
The first step is to use a clean cloth or paper towel to blot stained area. This helps to absorb the excess sauce and prevent it from spreading further. Gently dab and blot the area until the sauce is fully absorbed.
Next, create a cleaning solution with one quart of warm water, one teaspoon of dishwashing detergent, and one teaspoon of white vinegar. Mix them together and make sure the solution is completely blended before continuing.
Using a spray bottle or a clean cloth or sponge, apply the cleaning solution directly to the affected area. Start at the edges of the stain and work your way in towards the center. Make sure to use gentle strokes and avoid rubbing or scrubbing too hard.
Using a clean cloth or paper towel, blot area again to absorb the cleaning solution and remaining sauce. Make sure to use a light touch and avoid rubbing or scrubbing too hard on the fabric.
Finally, rinse the area with cold water and let it air dry. Once it's completely dry, you can inspect the area to make sure that all of the tomato sauce has been removed.
With these few simple steps, you can easily get rid of any tomato sauce stains on your canvas. Just remember to blot the area, create a cleaning solution, apply it, blot it again, and then rinse with cold water. Before you know it, your canvas will be smelling fresh and looking good as new!
