Gather Remedies For The Stain

To begin process, gather your supplies. Depending on the size of the stain, you may need one or more of the following to have the best chance at removing it: baking soda, a tablespoon, laundry detergent, lukewarm water, white vinegar, and a cloth.

Mix Baking Soda and Water

Start by creating a paste using baking soda and lukewarm water. Use the tablespoon to mix together 1 part water with 2 parts baking soda. Once the mixture is a paste-like consistency, apply it to the stain on the Calico fabric and let it sit for 30 minutes.

Rinse and Add Detergent

After the 30 minutes have elapsed, rinse off the paste with lukewarm water. You should start to see the stain beginning to lift. To further the process, add a teaspoon of laundry detergent and a tablespoon of white vinegar to the lukewarm water.

Scrub The Stain

Using a clean cloth, dip it into detergent and vinegar solution and gently scrub stain until it has lifted. Continue to rinse fabric with lukewarm water and blot dry with a towel.
