Before attempting to clean stain, you must first blot it with a damp cloth. This helps to absorb some of the excess tomato sauce, preventing it from spreading further or setting deep into the fibers of the fabric.
Once the stain has been blotted, apply a mild detergent directly to the stain and rub it into the fibers of the fabric. Allow the detergent to sit for 10–15 minutes before rinsing it off.
Using cold water, rinse the detergent off the broomstick lace. Cold water is best as warm or hot water could cause the stain to set further into the fabric.
If the stain has not been completely removed, repeat step 2 until it is removed entirely.
Once the stain has been removed, allow the broomstick lace to air dry. Avoid using drying machines or direct sunlight, as this could cause the fabric to fade or shrink.
Follow these five simple steps to get rid of tomato sauce stains on broomstick lace quickly and effectively. In no time at all, your beloved lace item will be looking good as new.
