The first step in removing a tomato sauce stain from brocade is to treat it immediately. Use a paper towel or cloth to blot the area gently. Do not rub the stain, as this will spread the stain further into the fabric.

Next, mix ¼ teaspoon of mild liquid dishwashing detergent with one cup of warm water to form a solution. Dip a clean cloth into the solution and use it to blot the stain gently working from outside in. Do not use a scrubbing motion.

After treating the stain, rinse the area with cold water and a clean cloth. Then place the fabric face down on some paper towels and press gently with a warm iron to absorb any remaining moisture. Allow the fabric to dry completely before assessing whether the stain has been removed.

If the stain persists, soak fabric in a bucket of lukewarm water with a half-cup of white vinegar for about two hours. This should help remove any set-in stains. After two hours, rinse the fabric in cold water and gently blot dry.

Finally, you can also try using a mild bleach solution to remove the stain. Simply mix one tablespoon of bleach-free laundry detergent in with one gallon of cold water. Submerge the stained area in the solution and let it sit for no longer than 5 minutes. Rinse with cold water and blot dry.

By following these simple steps, you can successfully remove tomato sauce stains from brocade fabric. Good luck!
