What You'll Need

  • Dish soap
  • White vinegar
  • Hydrogen peroxide
  • Microfiber cloth
  • Water
  • Bowl or bucket

Step 1: Prepare Soap Solution

In a bowl or bucket, mix together a few drops of dish soap with warm water. Stir the solution until the soap is completely dissolved.

Step 2: Pre-Treat the Stain

Using a microfiber cloth, gently blot the stained area with soap solution. Be sure to move in an outward motion from the center of the stain. If the stain hasn't been lifted, don't scrub or rub the area as this could make the stain worse.

Step 3: Rinse with Vinegar Solution

Mix together equal parts white vinegar and warm water. Again, use a microfiber cloth to dab the stain with the solution, being sure to move outward from center. This will help to loosen tomato sauce further.

Step 4: Apply Hydrogen Peroxide

Mix together 1 part hydrogen peroxide with 2 parts water. Use a cotton swab to dab the solution onto stain. Allow it to sit for 5 minutes before blotting it with a clean cloth.

Step 5: Rinse and Air Dry

Rinse the blazer with cold water. Gently wring out any excess liquid before laying the blazer flat to air dry. Don't use a dryer or iron as this could set the stain.
