Steps to Remove the Stain
- Blot the excess tomato sauce using an absorbent cloth or paper towel.
- Spray the back of the stain with prewash stain remover and work it in using a soft brush.
- Soak the clothing in cold water for 30 minutes.
- Wash the clothing in the warmest water temperature recommended on care tag with a regular laundry detergent, like Tide. If possible, add a color-safe bleach.
- Air dry. Do not put item in the dryer until the stain has been completely removed.
Additional Tips
- Do not use hot water when treating the stain as this can cause it to spread, making it harder to get out.
- If the stain is particularly stubborn, try adding some liquid dish soap to the stain before soaking.
- Before attempting to remove the stain, test the prewash stain remover and laundry detergent on an inconspicuous part of the item to ensure that it does not affect the fabric.
