Before attempting to clean the tomato sauce stains, you should first take into consideration fabric of your Alexander McQueen garment. Check the label inside clothing to determine which type of fabric it is, so that you know what type of cleaning detergent or solvent to use. You should also should make sure there are no broken threads, missing buttons, or other defects that could be made worse by any cleaning methods.
In a clean sink or bucket, mix a solution of cold water, liquid detergent, and white vinegar. Submerge the stained area of the garment in solution and let it soak for at least 15 minutes.
After the garment has finished soaking, rinse it with cold water until the water runs clear. Do not use hot water, as this can cause the stain to set in.
Before washing the garment, you should pre-treat the stained area with a laundry stain remover specifically designed for tomato sauce stains. Apply the stain remover to the stained area and rub it in using a cloth or sponge.
Next, fill a washer or basin with cold or lukewarm water and a small amount of laundry detergent suitable for the fabric (check the clothing label for details). Place the garment in the washer or basin and agitate the water for several minutes, then allow the garment to soak for at least 15 minutes. Next, rinse the garment with cold water until all of the detergent has been washed out.
Lay the garment flat on a clean towel and allow it to air dry. Do not place the garment in a clothes dryer, as this can cause stain to set in.
Once the garment is completely dry, inspect it for any remaining tomato sauce stains. If any stains remain, repeat the steps above until the stains have been removed.
