Using Dish Soap and Water

Dish soap is a common household item that many people use for cleaning stains on their clothes or fabric. To use it for a tomato sauce stain, start by diluting a few drops of the dish soap in some warm water. Dip a cloth or sponge in the solution and dab it gently onto the stain. Work from the outside in to avoid spreading the stain.

Using Baking Soda

If the dish soap didn't work, try using baking soda instead. Create a thick paste by mixing three parts baking soda with one part water. Apply paste to the stain and leave it on for five minutes. Gently rub it with a cloth and rinse it off before washing the stained area as normal.

Using Vinegar

Vinegar is an excellent choice when it comes to removing tomato sauce stains. Simply mix equal parts vinegar and warm water in a bowl and stir until dissolved. Dip a cloth into the solution and apply it to the affected area of the fabric. Leave it on for five minutes before rubbing it gently with a cloth and rinsing it off.

Using Rubbing Alcohol

Rubbing alcohol is another great product for removing tomato sauce stains. Mix two parts rubbing alcohol with one part water in a bowl. Dip a cloth in the mixture and gently rub it into the affected area. Wipe away any excess liquid with a damp cloth.

Using Hydrogen Peroxide

For particularly stubborn tomato sauce stains, you can also try using hydrogen peroxide. Be sure to dilute it, however, as it can damage fabric if used undiluted. Mix equal parts hydrogen peroxide and water and soak a cloth in the solution. Apply it to the stained area and leave it on for five minutes before rinsing it off.
