Step 1: Gather Your Materials

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Wooden spoon
  • Paper towels
  • Cotton cloth
  • Baking soda
  • Dishwashing detergent
  • Laundry detergent

Step 2: Scrape off the Excess Tar

Using a wooden spoon, scrape off as much of the excess tar off of the fabric as possible. Be sure to use gentle pressure, as to not tear the fabric.

Step 3: Apply a Mixture of Baking Soda and Dishwashing Detergent

Mix together baking soda and dishwashing detergent to form a paste-like consistency. Apply the mixture onto the stain and let it sit for 10 minutes.

Step 4: Soak in Warm Water

Submerge the stained area into a bowl of warm water and let it sit for an additional 10 minutes.

Step 5: Launder With Laundry Detergent

When finished soaking fabric, launder it with laundry detergent. Make sure to check the fabric for any remaining stains afterwards.

Step 6: Air Dry

Once fabric has been cleaned, hang it up to air dry. Avoid using the dryer, as high temperatures can set in the stain.

And There You Have It!

You now have a stain-free piece of Under Armour! Just follow these steps and you’ll be on your way to restoring your fabric back to its original glory in no time.
