Start by blotting away as much of tar stain as you can with a soft cloth or paper towel. Do not rub fabric too hard, as this may spread the stain out. To take care of any residue that remains, rub in a small amount of rubbing alcohol onto the tar stain with cloth or paper towel. Make sure to test rubbing alcohol on a hidden area of the fabric to ensure it will not cause any damage.

Once you have rubbed in the rubbing alcohol, allow the fabric to dry completely. Once dried, if there is still some of the stain left, take a scoop of baking soda and mix it with warm water until it creates a paste. Apply the baking soda paste to the stained area and let it sit for 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes, rinse the fabric off with cold water and gently scrub the area with a soft brush. Repeat this process if needed. When the tar stain is finally gone, wash the garment in cold water like normal and hang or lay it out to dry.

And there you have it; you now know how to effectively clean a tar stain off your tunic. With these simple steps, you can keep your clothing looking fabulous!
