- Washing powder
- Rubbing alcohol
- Water
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Make sure the tar stain is completely dry before attempting to clean it.
- Mix one part rubbing alcohol with one part water.
- Soak a clean cloth into the mixture and dab the tar stain until it has been dissolved.
- Put top into the washing machine with a scoop of washing powder.
- Run wash cycle on the highest temperature setting possible.
- Remove the top from the machine and check the stain. If it's still there, repeat Steps 2-5.
