Rubbing alcohol is a great way to break down the oils in tar and make it easier to remove. Start by dampening a soft cloth with rubbing alcohol and blotting the tar stain until it's saturated. Then, gently rub the stained area with the cloth in circular motions for a few minutes until the stain starts to fade. Rinse the spot out with cool water and blot dry.
This method is especially effective if the tar stain has dried. Start by mixing equal parts vinegar and baking soda together to create a paste. Spread the paste onto the stain and let it sit for about 10-15 minutes. Then, scrub the area with a soft brush or cloth. Once all of the residue is gone, rinse the area with cool water and blot dry.
For tough tar stains, create a mixture of laundry detergent and warm water. Soak stained area in the mixture for at least 30 minutes, then scrub it with a soft brush or cloth. Rinse the area with cool water and blot dry. Repeat this process until stain has been removed.
