The Easiest Way to Make Tar Stains Disappear from Silk Charmeuse

What You Will Need

• Laundry Detergent
• White Vinegar
• A Soft Washcloth
• Ammonia

Removing Tar Stains from Silk Charmeuse

1. Start by dabbing the stain with a soft washcloth and cold water until no more tar comes off.
2. Rinse the spot with white vinegar and place piece of clothing in the washer with regular laundry detergent.
3. If tar stain doesn't come out after a wash, mix one tablespoon of ammonia with one cup of cold water and dab the stain with solution. Do not scrub or rub the fabric as it may cause damage.
