If you want to get rid of unsightly tar stains on your Nautica as quickly and painlessly as possible, here’s what you need to do:

  1. Start by scraping away any excess tar with a plastic spatula or even a dull knife.
  2. Next, mix a small amount of baby shampoo or dishwashing liquid with warm water.
  3. Soak stained area in the solution for about 15 minutes, then gently scrub it with a soft-bristled brush.
  4. Rinse off the soap with a damp cloth.
  5. Mix one part white vinegar with two parts water and soak the stain in the solution for 20 minutes.
  6. Finish up by rinsing the area with warm water and dry it off with a clean cloth.

Once you’ve completed these steps, you should have a clean, tar-free Nautica fabric. If the stain persists, you can try repeating these steps or using a commercial spot cleaning product. It’s best to test any product on an inconspicuous part of the fabric first to make sure it won’t cause further damage.

With these tips in mind, you can make sure your Nautica looks as good as new and keep those stubborn tar stains at bay.
