The last thing you want is for tar stains to ruin your favorite hair clips. Luckily, getting tar out of hair clips is fairly easy and does not require a lot of time or effort. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to effectively clean off tar stains on your hair clips:

Step One: Prep the Surface

Before you begin tackling the stain, make sure clips are thoroughly washed and dried. This will help cleaning solution work more efficiently. It can also help to apply a light coat of oil to the clips to prepare the surface, which should be done prior to scrubbing.

Step Two: Apply Cleaning Solution

Cleaning solutions such as rubbing alcohol, acetone, or mineral spirits can effectively remove tar stains from the surface of a clip. Make sure to use a lint-free cloth to evenly distribute solution over the stained area. Allow the solution to sit for a few minutes before moving on to the next step.

Step Three: Scrub Gently

Once the cleaning solution has had a chance to work its magic, use a soft-bristled brush to gently scrub hair clips. Start at the base of the stain and work your way up. Be sure to use a circular motion when scrubbing as this will help to lift the tar from the surface.

Step Four: Rinse and Dry

After you’ve finished scrubbing, rinse the hair clips with warm water. Use a paper towel or clean rag to dry them off and remove any remaining residue.

Step Five: Enjoy Tar-Free Hair Clips!

You've worked hard and now it’s time to bask in the glory of your hard work. Enjoy your new tar-free hair clips and don't forget to keep them well-maintained to avoid future stains!
