The first step in removing tar stains from Forever 21 clothing is to scrape off as much of excess tar as possible. To do this, use a plastic or wooden scraper and carefully scrape off any visible tar spots. Be sure not to press too hard, as this may cause damage to the fabric.
Once you’ve scraped off the excess tar, it’s time to apply a spot treatment. Start by creating a mixture of two parts warm water and one part distilled white vinegar. Then, gently dab the mixture onto the tar stain using a soft, lint-free cloth. Allow mixture to sit on the stain for at least five minutes.
After five minutes have passed, blot the area with a clean, dry cloth to remove vinegar and water mixture. Once the mixture has been successfully removed, rinse the garment in cold water and allow to air dry.
To finish up, pre-treat the area with a mild laundry detergent and then wash garment in washing machine according to the care instructions. When the garment is finished washing, check the area to make sure the tar stain has completely disappeared. If it hasn’t, repeat the process until it is gone.
