Start by carefully scraping the surface of the garment where the tar stain is located. Be sure to use a paper towel or soft cloth so as not to damage the fabric.
Next, apply some rubbing alcohol to the stained area and gently blot it into the fabric. Allow the alcohol to sit for several minutes before blotting it up with a clean cloth.
Fill a basin with warm water and add a small amount of liquid laundry detergent. Soak garment in mixture for half an hour before rinsing it off.
Once the soak is complete, fill a spray bottle with white vinegar and spray the stained area. Allow the vinegar to sit for 15-20 minutes before scrubbing with a soft cloth. Rinse thoroughly with cold water.
If the stain is still visible after the above steps, repeat the process until it is removed. Make sure to test rubbing alcohol and white vinegar on an inconspicuous area of fabric first.
