  • Dishwashing soap
  • Water

Steps to Remove Tar Stains

  1. Mix a few drops of vinegar with baking soda and water to create a paste. This removes oil-based substances like tar.
  2. Spread the paste on the tar stain and let it sit for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Scrub the area gently with a soft cloth or brush.
  4. Lather the tar-stained area with some dishwashing soap.
  5. Rinse the area with warm water.
  6. If there are still some marks left, repeat steps 1-5 and then launder your garment according to the care instructions.
