Vinegar Method

Start by saturating affected area with the vinegar, then let it sit for 10-15 minutes. You can use a plain white cloth to begin working away the tar stains. Rinse the area with cool water and allow it to air-dry.

WD-40 Method

WD-40 is another excellent option for removing tar stains from cotton canvas. If you don't have any white vinegar on hand, you can use WD-40 instead. Simply spray a generous amount onto the tar stain and leave it for 30 minutes. Then, carefully wipe it away with a soft cloth or brush. Finally, rinse the area with cool water and let it air-dry.

Soft Scrub Cleaner

Soft scrub cleaners are also effective at removing tar stains from cotton canvas. Start by mixing a small amount of the cleaner with warm water. Dip a cotton cloth in the solution and dab it onto affected area. Work the cleaner into stained area and let it sit for 10 minutes. Rinse the area with cool water and allow it to air-dry.

Rubbing Alcohol Method

Rubbing alcohol is another excellent way to remove tar stains from cotton canvas. Simply apply a generous amount of rubbing alcohol to the affected area and let it sit for 15 minutes. Use a plain white cloth to rub away stains. Finally, rinse the area with cool water and allow it to air-dry.
