Tar can easily ruin your camisole. It is important to act fast and follow the steps below to remove tar stains completely from your clothing.

What You Will Need

  • Dish detergent
  • Soft bristle brush or toothbrush
  • Laundry detergent
  • Clean cloth
  • Olive oil
  • White vinegar

Instructions

  1. Start by wetting the spot with lukewarm water and some dish detergent.
  2. Using a soft-bristle brush or toothbrush, gently scrub the area.
  3. If the tar is stubborn, let soap sit for few minutes before scrubbing again.
  4. Inspect the area for remaining tar. If there is still some left, pick it off with your fingers.
  5. Rinse the garment with clean, warm water.
  6. Launder the camisole with laundry detergent on hottest setting possible that is safe for the fabric.
  7. If there is still some leftover tar visible, apply a small amount of olive oil and wipe it off with a clean cloth.
  8. Finally, rinse area with white vinegar.
