Steps to Remove Tar Stains from Your Blazer

  1. Lay the blazer flat on a dry surface.
  2. Mix 1-part dish soap with 1-part water in a bowl.
  3. Using a cotton pad, apply the cleaning solution onto the tar stain.
  4. Gently rub the area with the cotton pad until the tar begins to break up.
  5. Allow the cleaning solution to sit on the stain for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Using a clean, damp cloth, rinse off the soapy solution.
  7. Continue rubbing with the damp cloth until all of the tar is removed.
  8. Once the stain is gone, allow the blazer to dry completely.
