Instructions

  1. Start by laying the backpack flat on a surface covered with an old towel.
  2. Grab a bowl and mix together 1 tablespoon of dish soap with 1/2 cup of warm water.
  3. Using a soft-bristled brush, gently scrub the tar stain with the soapy mixture.
  4. Once you’ve scrubbed tar stain, you’ll want to rinse the area with cold water.
  5. Repeat the scrubbing and rinsing until the stain is gone.
  6. Lay the backpack out on an old towel and allow it to air dry.

Tips And Warnings

  • When handling tar stains, make sure to wear old clothes as the stains are very hard to remove from fabric.
