  • Mix a solution of dish soap and lukewarm water in a bowl.
  • Use a soft cloth or sponge to dab the affected area with the solution until the stain is saturated.
  • Leave the solution to work for about 10 minutes.
  • Rinse the area with clean, cool water.
  • If there is still a stain, mix a small amount of mild bleach with the solution and dab it onto fabric.
  • Rinse the area again with clean, cool water.
  • Finally, air dry the fabric or lay flat to dry completely.

Tips For Cleaning Suntan Lotion Stains From Voile Fabric

  • Don’t rub the stain as this can cause fabric to pill or tear.
  • Do a patch test with the solution before applying it to the entire stain.
  • Always launder voile fabric after cleaning the stain to ensure any residue of the solution is gone.
  • Be sure to check the labels to make sure the fabric isn’t dry clean only before trying any of these steps.
