To begin the stain removal process, mix a solution of one part liquid dish detergent and two parts cool water. Make sure the detergent is completely dissolved in the mixture. Use this solution to spot clean any suntan lotion stains on your Venetian lace.
Using a cotton swab, dip it into the solution you created and gently dab onto the stained area. Be careful not to rub lace, as this can damage and weaken the fabric. For tough stains, you may need to apply the solution several times.
When the stains are gone, rinse the lace in cool water. Make sure all traces of detergent have been removed and then set aside until the lace is completely dry.
Once the lace is completely dry, you can press it with a warm, dry iron to make sure it’s wrinkle-free. Make sure to use low heat and apply the iron from the back of the lace to prevent any damage.
By following these 4 simple steps, you can easily remove suntan lotion stains from Venetian lace and restore its original beauty. Always remember to be gentle when cleaning and pressing this delicate fabric!
