Suntan lotion stains can be quite difficult to remove, but with the right steps and products, you can make your Uniqlo clothing good as new again.
How to clean suntan lotion stains from Uniqlo
- First of all, scrape off any remaining suntan lotion residue from the fabric. It’s important to do this before doing anything else as it will make the following steps more effective.
- Soak stained area in cold water for about 10 minutes. This will help loosen stain and make it easier to remove.
- Apply a small amount of laundry detergent onto the fabric and gently rub it in for about 2 minutes. Don't be too rough as you don't want to damage the fabric.
- Rinse the stained area with cold water and then soak it in a solution made from 1 teaspoon of white vinegar and 1 quart of warm water for ten minutes.
- Remove the garment from the solution, rinse it again with cold water, and allow it to air dry.
If the stain remains after following these steps, then simply repeat process. In some cases, you may need to use a mild stain remover or enzyme cleaner. However, it’s best to use these as a last resort, as they may cause discoloration or damage to the fabric.
