What You'll Need
- Clean towel
- Washing powder/detergent
- Stain remover
- White vinegar
Steps to Follow
- Gently wipe off any excess sun cream from the stained area with a clean towel.
- If the stain is still present, create a solution of cold water and washing powder/detergent and soak for 20 minutes.
- Gently rub the stain with a clean cloth to remove it, taking care not to damage the fibres of the material.
- If the stains persist, use a specialized stain remover product or mix white vinegar with warm water to create a solution and dab the stained area with a cloth.
- Leave to air dry, or rinse with cold water and hang to dry.
Tips for Prevention
- Always test any cleaning solution on a hidden area of the fabric beforehand to ensure it won't cause any damage.
- Avoid rubbing the fabric too hard as this could cause the threads to come loose.
- Be sure to use cold water when cleaning, as hot water can cause colours to run.
