1. Apply laundry detergent

Starting off with the most basic step, applying laundry detergent directly onto the stain is often enough to remove it. Use a bit of detergent and lather it into stained area. Make sure to rub the detergent in with a soft cloth or brush. Let detergent sit on stain for at least 15 minutes before washing it in the washing machine.

2. Pre-soaking in cold water

As an alternative to the detergent method, you can also pre-soak stained t-shirt in cold water for 30 minutes. This will help to loosen up the stain and make it easier to remove. After the soaking time has elapsed, run t-shirt through the washing machine with some detergent.

3. Use an enzyme cleaner

Enzyme cleaners are designed to break down proteins and fats from things like body oils and sweat, which is exactly what sun tan lotion is made up of. To use an enzyme cleaner, simply mix it with hot water and let the stained t-shirt sit in it for about 10 minutes. Then wash the t-shirt in the washing machine as normal.

4. Try white vinegar

White vinegar is a great natural cleaner and works well for removing sunscreen stains. Simply mix one part vinegar with two parts water and apply it directly to stain. Allow it to soak for 10 minutes and then throw it in the washing machine with some detergent suds.

5. Try baking soda

Baking soda is another great natural cleaning ingredient that can be used to remove sunscreen stains. Mix baking soda with water and make a thick paste. Apply it directly to the stain and let it sit for at least 10 minutes. Then wash the t-shirt in the washing machine with detergent.

With these simple tips and tricks, you can easily get rid of those pesky sunscreen stains on your t-shirts. Try out one of these methods and make your favourite t-shirts look like new again!
