Once you notice that a suntan lotion stain has formed on your sweatpants, pre-treat it with a stain remover. Allow the remover to sit for several minutes so that it can dissolve oils from the lotion.
Fill a bucket with warm water and add mild detergent. Submerge your sweatpants in the solution and let them soak for 20 minutes. After they have soaked, use a bristle brush to gently scrub the stained area.
When finished scrubbing, put the sweatpants into the washing machine. Wash the pants using the warmest water possible, as well as a detergent with bleach. This should help get rid of any remaining suntan lotion stains.
Once the sweatpants have been washed, hang them or place them in the dryer. Be sure to take them out of the dryer before they are completely dry, as this will help avoid setting any remaining stains.
By following these steps, you should be able to remove suntan lotion stains from your sweatpants. Just remember to pre-treat the stain first, then wash and dry sweatpants.
