- Dishwashing liquid
- White vinegar
- Borax

- It's best to take care of the stain as soon as possible. Begin by rinsing the stain under cool water.
- If the stain persists, mix one teaspoon of liquid dish soap and one teaspoon of white vinegar. Let this mixture stand for two minutes before applying it to the stain.
- Gently rub affected area with a small amount of the dishwashing liquid and white vinegar mixture. Rinse the garment thoroughly.
- If stain still won't budge, mix one part Borax and three parts hot water. Rub this mixture into the stained area.
- Rinse the sweater under cool water for several minutes.
- For tougher stains, repeat the process of mixing one part Borax and three parts warm water and rubbing this mixture into the stained area.
- Finally, rinse the garment thoroughly and pat dry with a clean rag.
