Start by soaking the glasses frame in warm soapy water for around 10 minutes. Make sure to use a gentle or mild soap, as stronger detergents can cause damage to the lenses. Once soaking is complete, rinse the frame off with lukewarm water.
Next, mix equal parts vinegar and water in a small bowl. Dip an old toothbrush or soft-bristled brush into mixture and begin scrubbing the frames gently. Do not use any excessive force to avoid scratching the lenses. Avoid using hard bristles, as these can also scratch your sunglasses.
If your lenses are still coated with suntan lotion stains, try using a cotton swab and dab it in rubbing alcohol. Rub it gently over frames where the stains are present. The rubbing alcohol should break down the oils from the lotion and remove the stains. After this step, rinse the lenses again under the tap to remove any residue.
Finally, use lens wipes to clean and disinfect the frames. This will help get rid of any remaining grime and will also keep them looking bright and sparkling. For best results, polish your lenses with a microfiber cloth to give them extra shine and make them look brand new!
