The first step is to blot stain with an absorbent cloth or paper towel. Do not rub the stain as this can cause it to spread and make it harder to remove. If needed, you can also use a specialised stain remover such as a Pre-Treat product to help lift the stain from the fabric.
Next, you’ll need to pre-treat stain. Spray or pour a small amount of pre-treatment solution onto the stained area and let it sit for several minutes. This will help break down the oils in the lotion and make it easier to remove the stain.
Finally, place the sundress in the washing machine and select a gentle cycle. Add a regular detergent and a colour-safe bleach, if desired. After the wash cycle has completed, check the sundress for any remaining stains, and then hang it to dry.
Getting rid of suntan lotion stains doesn't have to be a daunting task. With the right tools and techniques, you can have your sundress looking as good as new in no time!
