Method #1: Treat the Stain with Detergent & Rubbing Alcohol

Start by mixing equal parts detergent and rubbing alcohol in a bowl. Gently dip the tips of a clean cloth into the mixture. If the stains are on your laces, apply the detergent mixture to them, then use toothbrush or an old toothbrush to scrub affected areas. Keep repeating these steps until the stains are gone. If the stains are on the fabric part of the sneakers, use a spray bottle filled with the detergent/alcohol solution. Spray it directly on the stains and let it sit for a few minutes. Next, take a soft-bristle brush and scrub the area gently. When you're done, rinse off the sneakers with cold water.

Method #2: Try Dish Soap & Hydrogen Peroxide

To use this method, mix a few drops of dish soap with a teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide in a bowl. Take a clean cloth, wet it in mixture, then dab it on affected area of your sneakers. Using a soft-bristle brush, gently scrub the stains. Keep doing this until they come out. When you're done, rinse off sneakers with cold water. Avoid using hot water, as it can make stains look worse.

Conclusion

With the two methods outlined above, you should be able to easily remove suntan lotion stains from your sneakers. Both solutions use common household items, so you don't have to worry about spending money on special cleaning products.
