What You Need

  • A mild detergent
  • A clean white cloth
  • Distilled white vinegar
  • A spray bottle

Step 1: Apply Detergent

Begin by dampening your clean white cloth with lukewarm water. Next, put a small amount of mild detergent onto the cloth, and lightly rub it over the stain. Allow the detergent to sit for several minutes before moving to the next step.

Step 2: Apply White Vinegar

Once the detergent has had time to work, pour some distilled white vinegar into a spray bottle and lightly spray it over the stained area. Be sure to not oversaturate fabric. Allow the vinegar to sit for a few minutes before proceeding.

Step 3: Rinse with Water

Using a new clean white cloth, rinse the stained area with lukewarm water. Continue to rinse until water runs clear. Then, pat the fabric dry with a towel. Once the fabric is dry, inspect the area to make sure the stain has been removed.
