Step 1: Dilute the Stain

Begin by diluting the stain as much as possible by pouring or dabbing cool or lukewarm water onto the affected area. If the stain is fresh, you may need to blot several times until stain is no longer visible.

Step 2: Pre-treat the Stain

Once the stain has been diluted, pre-treat it by applying a few drops of laundry detergent directly onto the stain. Work the detergent gently into the fabric using a clean cloth or sponge. Allow the detergent to sit on the stain for approximately 15 minutes.

Step 3: Wash the Fabric

Once you’ve allowed the detergent to sit on stain for at least 15 minutes, launder fabric as per manufacturer instructions. Place the fabric in the washing machine and select the appropriate settings for the cycle. Generally speaking, cold water should be used on silk noil fabric.

Step 4: Check the Stain

Once the washing cycle has finished, inspect the stained area for any residual marks. If stain remains, repeat steps 1 and 2 before washing again.

Step 5: Air-dry the Item

Once you’re satisfied that the stain has been removed, air-dry item either outdoors or in a well-ventilated area inside. Do not place item in dryer as this could cause fabric to shrink and further damage texture.
