A sarong is a traditional piece of clothing worn in many parts of the world that can be used for a variety of purposes, from beachwear to formal occasions. But when it gets stained by suntan lotion, it can be difficult to get out. Fortunately, there are some tried-and-true methods that can help keep your sarong looking its best.
If you've just spilled some suntan lotion while applying it, the best way to remove the stain is to first use a damp cloth to blot up as much as you can. Once that's done, mix equal parts white vinegar and water and apply it to the stain. Let the mixture sit for about 15 minutes before gently scrubbing the spot with a brush. This should help to remove the remaining residue.
If you're dealing with an older stain that has already set in, you can try treating it with a mixture of dish soap and hydrogen peroxide. Start by mixing together one tablespoon of dish soap and two tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide, then apply it to the stained area. Leave it to sit for around 20 minutes, then use a toothbrush to gently scrub the spot before rinsing it off with water.
If none of the above methods work, it's time to call in the professionals. Take your sarong to a dry cleaner who specializes in removing stubborn stains. They should be able to do an effective job of removing the suntan lotion stain without causing any damage to the fabric.
Suntan lotion stains can be a pain to get out of a sarong, but luckily there are a few simple methods you can try. From blotting up fresh stains to professional cleaning services, you should be able to remove that pesky suntan lotion in no time!
