Say Bye-Bye to Suntan Lotion Stains on Pongee Forever

No one likes to deal with difficult stains, especially when they are from suntan lotion. Pongee is a fine fabric and can easily pick up these stains. But never fear it is possible to get these stains out using some common household items.

Materials Needed:

• Baking Soda
• White Vinegar
• Liquid Detergent
• Oxygen-based Bleach (optional)
• Cold Water

Instructions

1. Start by making a paste of baking soda and water. Rub the paste into the stain.
2. Let it sit for at least 20 minutes before washing.
3. If needed, make an oxygen-based bleach solution and add it to the wash.
4. Add a scoop of liquid detergent to the washing machine and fill it with cold water.
5. Pour in some white vinegar and let the cycle run.
6. After the cycle is complete, double check if the stain has been completely removed.
7. If the stain is still present, repeat the process until it is gone.

Tips

• Be sure not to use hot water as that could make the stain permanent.
• Do not use colored fabric softeners as this can leave a mark on the fabric.
• Be sure to read the instructions on any oxygen-based bleaching product.
