What You'll Need

  • Clean cloths or paper towels
  • Mild soap
  • Baking soda
  • White vinegar

Step 1: Clean the Stain With Soap and Water

Take a cloth or paper towel and wet it with lukewarm water. Then add some mild soap and rub it into stain, making sure to cover the entire area. Gently scrub the stain with the cloth until the stain is removed.

Step 2: Make a Baking Soda Paste

Once your Nike shoes are dry, you can make a baking soda paste to help remove remaining stain. Mix a tablespoon of baking soda with two tablespoons of water. Then use the cloth to rub the paste into the stained area until the stain is removed. Allow the paste to sit for about 20 minutes before wiping it off.

Step 3: Rinse With White Vinegar

If you still have some of the stain left on your Nike shoes, you can rinse them with white vinegar. Fill a bowl with one cup of white vinegar and one cup of warm water. Dip the cloth into the mixture and gently rub it into the stained area. Rinse the cloth and repeat the process until the stain is gone.

Step 4: Allow the Shoes to Air Dry

Once the stain has been removed, let your Nike shoes air dry. This will prevent any further staining and make sure they look their best.

Conclusion

Cleaning suntan lotion stains from Nike shoes doesn't have to be complicated. With a few simple steps, your shoes can look like new in no time.
