  • A sponge or soft cloth

Instructions for Removing Sun Tan Lotion Stains from Mules

  1. Start by mixing equal parts laundry detergent and borax in a bowl.
  2. Create a paste with the mixture, adding a small amount of water until you achieve the desired consistency.
  3. Using a sponge or soft cloth, apply a generous amount of the paste to stained area of mule.
  4. Let the paste sit on stain for 10 minutes.
  5. Rinse off the paste with cool water.
  6. If the stain is still visible, mix together one cup of white vinegar and two cups of cool water in a spray bottle.
  7. Thoroughly spray the area and let the solution work its magic for a few minutes.
  8. Clean the affected area with a sponge or a soft cloth.
  9. Finally, rinse with clean water and allow the mules to air dry completely.
