Step 1: Blot the Stain

Using a clean cloth or paper towel, blot the stain with cool water to remove as much of excess lotion as possible. Do not rub the stain. Blotting will help to avoid pushing it deeper into the fabric fibre.

Step 2: Pre-Treat the Stain

Once the initial amount of lotion has been blotted off, pre-treat the stain with a laundry detergent that contains enzymes. Work the detergent into the stain using a scrub brush or your fingers. Make sure to work detergent into both sides of the fabric. Let the pre-treated area sit for 10-15 minutes.

Step 3: Wash the Fabric

Wash the pre-treated area with warm water according to the fabric care instructions. If the stain is still visible, repeat steps 2 and 3 until stain is completely removed.

Step 4: Air Dry the Fabric

Let the fabric air dry completely before wearing it again. Check the area for any remaining stain and repeat the cleaning process if necessary.
