Materials Needed to Remove Suntan Lotion Stains from Loafers

  • Liquid dish soap
  • White vinegar
  • Soft cloths or an old toothbrush
  • Leather conditioner (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cleaning solution. Mix 1 teaspoon of liquid dish soap with 1 cup of white vinegar. Stir the mixture until it becomes fully dissolved.
  2. Dampen a soft cloth or an old toothbrush in the solution. Gently scrub the stained area of the shoe, taking care not to damage the leather.
  3. When the stain is completely removed, rinse affected area with just water.
  4. Let the shoes air dry in a cool area away from direct sunlight.
  5. If desired, after shoes are completely dry, apply a thin layer of leather conditioner for added protection.
