Tips for Removing Lotion Stains from Linens

Before treating the stain, it is important to work quickly. As soon as you notice the stained area, wiping it with a damp cloth can help minimize the spread of the stain.
If stain has already been allowed to set in, scrape off as much of residue as possible. Use a butter knife or coin-edge spatula for this.

Allow the detergent solution to sit for about 10 minutes before using a wet cloth to wipe the area until the stain is removed.
Once all the remnants of stain have been removed, rinse the area thoroughly with cold water. Make sure to use a clean cloth whenever you are wiping the linen.
Finally, hang linen up in the sun to dry. The UV rays of the sun will help set the stain.
