- Dishwashing soap
- White vinegar
- Salt
- Sponge, cloth or brush
- Vacuum cleaner
Instructions for Treating Suntan Lotion Stains on Jacquard Fabric
- Start by scraping off any remaining residue of lotion with a spoon, knife, or credit card. If the stain is still wet, blot it with a dry cloth or paper towel.
- Mix together equal parts of dishwashing liquid and white vinegar in a bowl.
- Apply the mixture to the stained area with a sponge, cloth, or brush and scrub the area gently.
- Rinse off mixture with a damp cloth and then allow fabric to air dry.
- If the stain is still visible, sprinkle salt onto the stain and rub it in with a cloth. Leave it for 10 minutes.
- Vacuum up salt, then repeat steps 2-4, if necessary.
