Instructions
- Before you start, make sure the fabric can be washed. Check the wash instructions on the garment tag.
- Mix a solution of 1 tablespoon of liquid detergent and 1/2 cup of warm water. Apply the mixture directly onto the stain and soak for a few minutes.
- Once the solution has been applied, wipe the area gently with a clean cloth and rinse with cold water.
- If the stain is still visible, mix 1 tablespoon of borax powder with 1/2 cup of warm water and apply directly to the stain. Allow the mixture to sit for 10 minutes and then rinse with cold water.
- If the stain persists, apply a spot-cleaning product directly to stain and allow it to sit for 15 to 20 minutes before rinsing with cold water.
- Machine wash according to the instructions on garment tag and allow to air dry. Once dry, check that stain is no longer visible.
Tips
- Always test any cleaning solution on an inconspicuous area of fabric to make sure it won't cause discoloration.
- Be gentle when wiping the stain—rubbing the fabric too hard could damage fibers.
