If you’re dealing with a fresh stain, the first step is to rinse the affected area with cold water. This will help loosen the stain and prevent it from setting in.
Next, you’ll need to treat the stain. If the stain includes oils, try dabbing it with a mixture of mild liquid detergent and white vinegar. For water-based stains, use a liquid enzyme detergent. You should also try pre-treating the stain with a stain remover or liquid laundry detergent.
After treating the stain, let it sit for about fifteen minutes. After that, run the clothing through the washing machine on a regular cycle. If necessary, you may have to re-treat the stain and repeat the process before it is completely gone.
Finally, air-dry the item or tumble dry it on the lowest heat setting. Heat can set the stain and make it more difficult to remove.
Following these steps should get rid of those pesky suntan lotion stains from your J Crew attire. Enjoy summer while keeping your clothes looking their best!
