What You’ll Need:
- Cup of empty water
- Half cup of vinegar and half cup of water
- Medium bowl
- Warm water
- Small bottle of dishwashing liquid
Instructions:
- Dip your stained hair tie in a cup of empty water to loosen the suntan lotion particles.
- Mix equal parts vinegar and water in a medium bowl to create an acidic solution.
- Submerge hair tie in acidic solution for 30 minutes.
- Rinse the hair tie in warm water.
- In a separate bowl, mix a small amount of dishwashing liquid with water and stir until the mixture is consistent.
- Use a soft cloth or sponge to scrub the hair tie with dishwashing solution.
- Rinse the hair tie with warm water to remove any remaining soap residue.
- Repeat steps 5-7 as needed until the stain has been removed.
