Removing Suntan Lotion Stains from Grills

Suntan lotion can leave behind an ugly yellowish-brown stain on your grill. The good news is, this is usually a relatively easy stain to clean. Here’s what you need for cleaning suntan lotion stains from grills:

  • A bucket of warm water and baking soda
  • Dish soap
  • A scrub brush
  • A sponge

To begin, mix two tablespoons of baking soda into a bucket of warm water and stir. Dip the sponge into water/soda solution and then scrub the stained area of the grill with the sponge, being sure to use some elbow grease.

If the suntan lotion stain doesn't come off right away, follow up with a dish soap and scrub brush solution. You should also use the scrub brush to clean any other areas of the grill that have been exposed to suntan lotion.

Once you’ve removed the stain, rinse the stained area with a damp cloth and let it air dry before using the grill. And then it's time to fire it up and enjoy your burgers!
