Begin by rinsing the goggles under cool running water to loosen lotion and remove excess debris. Using a very soft toothbrush, scrub gently at stained areas. For tougher stains, try mixing a teaspoon of mild dishwashing detergent with lukewarm water in a small bowl, then use a soft cloth or cotton swab to apply the cleaning solution. Allow it to soak in for a few minutes before rinsing off remaining detergent.
If the stains still remain, use a few drops of vinegar diluted in water and rub it into the affected areas. Let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing off and wiping the lenses clean with a soft cloth.
For a more powerful cleaning solution, mix equal parts of isopropyl alcohol and water in a spray bottle. Spray the lenses with the solution, being sure not to get it inside goggles. Wipe off with a clean, dry cloth.
Be sure to dry the lenses thoroughly after each step and store them in a cool, dry place. With these simple steps, you should be able to easily and quickly remove suntan lotion stains from your goggles.
