What You Need:
- A clean sponge or towel
- Dishwashing liquid
- White vinegar
- Iron
Instructions:
- Gently blot any excess suntan lotion from surface of the gingham fabric with a clean, damp sponge or towel.
- Mix one tablespoon of dishwashing liquid with two cups of cold water in a bowl.
- Dip a clean sponge or towel into the mixture and gently blot stained area.
- Rinse the area with cold water to remove soapy residue.
- If the stain remains, mix one part white vinegar with one part cold water and apply directly to the stain.
- Gently scrub area with a scrub brush or toothbrush.
- Rinse the area thoroughly with cold water and allow to air dry.
- If necessary, press the area with a warm iron to set stain.
Tips and Warnings:
- Be sure to work on the stain as soon as possible, as the longer it has to set, the more difficult it will be to remove.
- Take care not to scrub too hard, as fabric may become damaged.
