When using suntan lotion, be sure to thoroughly wipe off any excess product from your skin before sitting down. If a stain has already occurred, start removal process by gently blotting the stained area with a dry, clean cloth. This will help remove any residual lotion and prevent further rubbing.

Mix 1 tablespoon of liquid laundry detergent with 2 cups of cool water. Place the mixture into a spray bottle, and lightly mist stained area. Blot the mixture gently until the stain begins to transfer onto cloth. Be sure not to scrub too hard, as this can damage the fabric of furniture.

Once the stain is lifted, mix a solution of ¼ cup white vinegar and 2 cups of warm water. Spray this solution directly onto affected area and allow it to soak for 5-10 minutes before blotting it away. This should remove any remaining residue and neutralize odors.

After the area has dried, vacuum the affected area to restore the furniture's texture. If the stain persists, repeat the steps above. For stubborn stains, you may need to use a specialty cleaning solution designed to lift suntan lotion stains.

By following these steps, you can easily and efficiently remove suntan lotion stains from furniture. You'll be able to enjoy the summer weather without worrying about damaging your furniture!
