When you’re trying to remove suntan lotion stains from a Fred Perry shirt, first thing you need to do is try to remove as much of the product as you can. For this, you can use a paper towel. Rub the stained area with a paper towel, which will absorb some of excess product. If the paper towel becomes wet or if the stain is still present afterwards, use a second paper towel and repeat the process.

Once you have removed as much of product as you can, you should then rinse the area with cool water. It is important that you don’t use hot water as this could cause the stain to spread further. After rinsing, apply a small amount of laundry detergent directly to the stain and work it into a lather by rubbing it with your fingers or a soft cloth. Let the detergent remain on the stain for a few minutes before rinsing it off thoroughly.

If the stain still remains after washing, you can also try soaking it in a solution of white vinegar and warm water. Just mix one part of white vinegar with two parts of warm water and let the stained area soak for about 30 minutes. Once done, rinse the garment one last time and then leave it to air dry. This process should do trick and your Fred Perry shirt should be good as new!
